Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kerala
Department Of Library and Information Science (DLIS), of University of Kerala, is the first academic institution which started library science education in Kerala. The Department is situated within the Library Building of University of Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram.

Faculty
The faculty members of the Department are Sri. M. Varghese, Sri. K. P. Vijayakumar and Dr. A. Gopikkuttan. The former faculty members of the Department include Sri. C. A. Augustine, Sri. M. M. Job, Dr. M. Bavakutty and Dr. C. V. Rajan Pillai.
Alumni
The alumni of the Department has formed a formal organisation known as Alumni Association of the Department of Library and Information Science (AADLIS). The general body of the Association meets once in a year in the month of May.
