Character Overview
Dennis is, arguably, the most vain and despicable member of the gang. Dennis is very intelligent, but is unable distinguish between right and wrong due to him demonstrating several narcissistic personality disorder symptoms. He almost never shows enthusiasm for the gangs plans, but usually follows suit. He is an on again off again addict to crack [...] addict, which began when he was trying to solicit welfare when he quit the bar. Like the rest of the bar, he is a heavy drinker and an alcoholic. Like Charlie, he has uncontrollable anger that results in frequent outbursts when he doesn't get his way, of which have progressed as time goes on.
Dennis was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder when he threatened to skin his sister, Deandra, and make her into a lampshade for his "collection" in front of a psychiatrist, and only objected to the fact he had a collection of such due to the smell. He never uses them, and doesn't believed he shows any symptoms. He struggles with having empathy for other. It is ambiguously hinted that Dennis has several other psychological illnesses (narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder). It has also been heavily suggested that Dennis is a [...]. Most of the gang is GeneRally unaware to the extent of his crimes, but are all aware of Dennis likely being a criminal.
Dennis' most predominant trait is his vanity, narcissism, and grandiosity. He has distorted his image of himself, often "popping off" his shirt in inappropriate moments in order to impress everybody with his physique, which is much less impressive than he believes. Dennis is one of the most sensitive member of the gang when it comes to other commenting on his physical appearance, and is often seen inspecting parts of his physique which others have deemed unattractive, but always ends up deeming them sightly. He often refers to himself as "a God" with an overinflated sense of superiority. His narcissism began as early as high school and college, where he believed himself to be one of the "cool" and "popular" and that people look up to him. He has been found incorrect when the "cool and popular" crowds at his high school reunion that he was weird and found it strange that he constantly referred to himself as "a God".
Dennis also has trouble forming personal relationships and has little no respect with women. He has created a system called "The D.E.N.N.I.S. System", a six-step plan he has used to manipulate women into having them fall for him by causing them to suffer from extreme emotional distress so they seek solace in him. This system works most of the time on women, but is ruined by the Gang.
