Deepali Kishore

Deepali Kishore (Hindi:दीपाली किशोर)(born 06 January 1989 in Patna,Bihar) is a finalist of Indian Idol 3. She was eliminated from Indian Idol on August 11,2007 after having reached the top 7. She says that singing is very important to her and if her studies got missed its OK. She is a very intelligent Girl.

Deepali has participated in Indian Idol 3.She was counted as one of the best singers and she was commented that she can be the next Indian Idol.When she was eliminated everyone was shocked. Javed Akhtar, renowned lyricist and one of the judges said that everyone is watching her not hearing her and so that is the reason for her elimination. She also had a little misunderstanding with Ankita Mishra during a live stage performance when Deepali commented Ankita that because of her dance, good singers are being eliminated from Indian Idol 3. When she was eliminated on 11 August 2007 after giving stunning performance, Anu Malik offered her a chance to record a song for him. In the elimination round, she showed immense courage in accepting the result and gave her another best performance "Jab Chaye Mera Jadu". It is also believed that Deepali has been given a chance to sing by the great A.R Rahman.

Rumors

It was rumoured in Indian Idol that she has a crush on another participant from Dhandbad, Chang, who was also a finalist as he gave her a rose in Gala 3. In Gala 5, she was commented by Anu Malik badly. He said, "Your crush is crushing your voice." . Later on, Chang and Deepali clarified that the whole idea of offering rose to her was part of choreography and there are just friends. After the harsh comments from Anu Malik, Deeapali gave superb song performance like "Nimbooda Nimbooda" and "Dhol Bajne Laga".

Personal life

Deepali parents are from Patna, Bihar. She has studied in Mt. Carmel School and Patna Women's College. Deepali is a very intelligent girl as she topped in her 12th grade examination. This result was announced by Indian Idol Show host, Mini Mathur during the competition. She has learnt classical music for five years and is also a good dancer and actor. She wants to use her talent and become a singer. She also wants to take up mass communication and become a radio jockey. She loves to imitate the people around her—her friends, teachers and even passersby. Her hobbies include dancing, acting, watching TV and travelling.

Javed Akhtar commented that Anuji Malik’s record is fool-proof and whoever he yells at always sings well. This comments came after Anu Malik’s harsh comments about Deepali’s performance. Ila Arun, guest judge said Nimbooda is a Rajasthani song and Deepali kept her breath controlled while still maintaining the sweetness of this song. Uditj Narayan said that she has set the stage on fire. Alisha comented that she is looking like a princess and her confidence is back. Anu Malik commented that the way Deepali danced, moved, and kept your breath control, he has never seen that in any of the Indian Idol seasons. When she did the dance step, Anu Malik heard Alisha saying “Oh my God” because she danced, sang in tune, and sang well. He further commented that she gave outstanding performance and she is back with bang.

Recent News

On 19 September 2007, Deepali and Emon recorded a song for Anul Malik for forthcoming film under Shakti films banner. Anu Malik promised Deepali at the time of her eviction in Gala round of Indian Idol 3 and kept his promise by giving the breakthrough in Indian film industry. This was announced by Anu Malik himself in Aaj Tak and TV Indian news channel. Anu Malik said that the film is untitled venture of Shakti Films, directed by Ashim starring Mithun Chakroborthy, Parveen Dabbas and Hrishita Bhatt in the lead roles. Deepali and Emon are very thrilled by getting the chance to sing for Bollywood films.

On 23 September 2007, Deepali appeared on the Indian Idol final stage in New Delhi and performed her favourite song,"Mera Piya Ghar Aya" along with Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh. She also performed "Aisa Jadu Dala Re". Javed Akhtar commented that all 13 gala round finalist were very good singers, Deepali was one among them. She also appeared along with Bollywood actor John Abraham and performed a group song from film Goal.

On 29 September 2007, Deepali along with Indian Idol Prashant Tamang and fellow finalist Ankita Mishra gave live performance in Nepal. They also met Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
