Deepak Ohri
Deepak Ohri (born February 9, 1968) is the Chief Executive Officer of luxury hospitality company lebua Hotels & Resorts. Born in India, he worked with Kempinski and Taj hotels before founding The Dome at lebua, a collection of six bars and restaurants including Sirocco, in Bangkok in 2004. He expanded The Dome at lebua into an all-suite Bangkok hotel in 2006. In addition to the Bangkok flagship hotel, Ohri also operates lebua Lake Okareka Lodge in New Zealand and lebua New Delhi in India.
Under Ohri's leadership, lebua and The Dome at lebua have won over 60 awards, including the World Travel Award for Leading All Suite Hotel Award , the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards' Restaurant of the Year for Mezzaluna and was named one of TripAdvisor's Top 25 Luxury Hotels in Thailand.
Ohri has been a speaker and a panelist at the Forbes Global CEO Conference (2008,2009), The Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit (2010, 2011) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Travel and Tourism Summit (2011).
In 2012, Ohri began writing a weekly column in India's The Financial Express newspaper.
