Dead Man in Reno
Dead Man in Reno is an American metalcore/deathcore band from Tuscaloosa, Alabama
History
Dead Man In Reno formed together under the name Silent Fall in 2003 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The five-piece played shows locally for years until they felt the need to change their name to Dead Man in Reno. They later signed a three-album deal with Candlelight Records in May 2006. Dead Man in Reno recorded their self-titled debut with Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, Through the Eyes of the Dead's Producer) and toured throughout the summer preceding to their album's September release.
Band members
Dead Man in Reno began as a five piece, but a slightly different, lineup than the current one. Justin Sansom played guitar, Sam Conyers on vocals, Drew Shelnutt on bass, Chris Penuel on guitar, and George Edmondson on drums and vocals. The band felt the need to part ways with their vocalist, Sam, and Justin Samson, formerly the guitarist, moved to lead vocals. That left an empty slot open for a guitarist, so Stuart Ogran, formerly of bands such as Worthy of Suffering and After the Masquerade, was recruited as The New guitarist. The lineup then stood as Stuart, Chris, Justin, Drew, and George. In the coming months, George felt that it was necessary to part ways with the group for personal reasons. After that, Dead Man In Reno went through a number of drummers filling in, none of them working out successfully. Brian Huggins was then asked to play drums for the band.
