David Logan (playwright)

David J Logan (born 1960, Brisbane) is an Australian historian, drama and theatre teacher, director, puppeteer and playwright. He trained at Victoria College, Melbourne; Trinity College of Music, London; University of Newcastle in Newcastle; University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba and the Fox Foundation in the United Kingdom. David J.Logan was awarded a PhD and D.Litt for his historical research.

Dr. David J. Logan has directed a range of productions and has worked for Queensland Theatre Company. His particular areas of specialisation are puppetry and its uses in education, , children's theatre , Shakespeare in performance and Greek Theatre.

Dr. David J. Logan is a member of the international puppetry organisation, Union de la Marionette. He was invited, by the organising committee of the 6th Congress of the International Drama and Theatre Education Association in Hong Kong , to hold a workshop on Puppetry in Education. Dr. David J. Logan has acted with Twelfth Night Theatre Company and Brisbane Arts Theatre.
