David Lawrence Rare Coins

David Lawrence Rare Coins (DLRC) is a privately held retail company in the United States, selling rare coins and currencies. It is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia with 14 employees.
The company was founded in 1979 by David Lawrence Feigenbaum, a collector of U.S. coins since childhood. His son, John Feigenbaum, took ownership of the company in 1996. Feigenbaum has written two coin books including The Complete Guide To Washington Quarters () and The Complete Guide to Certified Barber Coinage (), as well as the foreword to Jeff Ambio's book Collecting & Investing Strategies for Barber Dimes (Strategy Guide Series) (). He is a former board member and vice president of the Professional Numismatists Guild, or PNG.
In 1998, Feigenbaum brokered and transported the most valuable U.S. dime known to date - an 1894-S Barber dime (a predecessor to the "Roosevelt dimes" of today) with a value of $1.9 mln.
The company conducts the majority of its business on its web site via private treaty and weekly internet auctions. The company also attends around 20 coin trade shows per year to buy and sell among other numismatic professionals. In March, 2012 it auctioned on eBay the Presidential Collection of Lincoln cents registered by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). The collection featured 308 coins, with a collector's value estimated by Feigenbaum to be over $1 million.
DLRC is rated A+ in the ratings system of the Better Business Bureau of Southeastern Virginia & Northeastern North Carolina, though the company is not BBB-accredited.
