Davian Groce
Davian Groce is an American football wide receiver for the Florida Gators.
Early life
Groce attended Lone Star High School in Frisco, Texas. Groce was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football and track and field. In track and field, Groce ran a 10.90 100-meter dash as a freshman. He was the Texas 5A 200-meter state champion as a junior, running a wind-aided time of 20.52. He also went on to improve his 100-meter time to 10.75.
In football, Groce served as both a running back and wide receiver, rushing for 2,432 yards on 286 attempts and recorded 162 receptions for 3,263 yards across his time in high school. Groce had offers from a litany of power conference schools: Arizona State, Texas Tech, TCU, SMU, Oklahoma State, Houston, Baylor, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Miami (FL), Oregon, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, UCF, Penn State, Missouri, and Florida. Groce eventually committed to Florida on August 11, 2025, and signed on National Signing Day on December 3, 2025.
In a 2025 Texas Class 5A Division I State Championship semifinal match, Groce had 15 receptions for 310 yards and four touchdowns. In the final five minutes, he scored two touchdowns and recovered an onside kick to give Lone Star possession in an eventual 56â52 win. Groce was also selected to competed in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl.

Groce enrolled early at Florida during the Spring 2026 semester.
