Data Foundry
Data Foundry, founded in 1994 as Texas.net, was the first Internet Service Provider in San Antonio and one of the first 50 Internet Service Providers in the United States. As a data center services provider with facilities in Austin and Houston, Texas, Data Foundry also provides services for data center outsourcing, disaster recovery and IP solutions. Operating since 1997, its Houston Data Center (HDC1) offers secure colocation and IP solutions. Since 2003, Data Foundry operates Austin Data Center 1 (ADC1) which is a colocation facility located in Austin, Texas.
In August 2010 Data Foundry started construction on a Data Ranch campus outside of Austin, Texas. The campus will house Texas 1, a data center to be completed in June 2011. Congressman Lloyd Doggett spoke at the Groundbreaking ceremony on August 3, 2010. Located in a region with a low incidence of NATURAL disasters, Texas 1 provides a reliable environment for production and back-up IT infrastructures.
