Daria Komarkova
Daria Komarkova (), born June 20, 1984 in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian top fashion model.
Early life and modeling start
Komarkova's modeling career began in 1998 when she attended an open call at a Russian casting agency. Although she didn't win, she was invited to take part in a Russian modeling agency in 2000, when she was modeling inside Russia and Asia for a couple of years. In September 2005, after moving to New York City at the age of 21, being represented by Major Model Management, Komarkova appeared in the American EDition of fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue which would prove to be her baptism of fire.
Modeling career
Following her Vogue cover, Komarkova became recognized at haute couture fashion shows. Since the spring/summer 2006 fashion shows, she has walked the runway for many notable brands such as PPQ, Luisa Beccaria, Nathan Jenden, Erdem, Giambattista Valli, Richard Nicoll, Tory Burch, Kai Kühne, Marios Schwab, John Galliano, Marc Jacobs, Douglas Hannant, A.F. Vandevorst, Diane von Furstenberg, La Perla, Malandrino, Alice Roi, Hamish Morrow, Betsey Johnson, Narciso Rodriguez, Emporio Armani and Christopher Kane.
In September 2009, it was announced Komarkova changed her mother agency to Israeli Verbmodels.
