Dappier is an American software company that provides software for building consumer-facing AI interfaces, license content to AI developers and agents, and advertise within AI answers.

The company is based in Austin, Texas.

History

In June 2024, Dappier announced the launch of a marketplace that lets publishers set access terms for their content, alongside a $2 million seed round led by Silverton Partners.

In October 2024, TV & radio company Morgan Murphy Media said it would use Dappier to support AI-driven local-news experiences and data syndication.

In June 2025, financial news site Benzinga announced they would adopt Dappier for AI data licensing in response to increased use of AI-based search platforms.

In July 2025, the News-Press & Gazette Company made its broadcast and digital content available to AI endpoints via Dappier’s marketplace and branded on-site “Ask AI” experiences.

In May 2024, Dappier CTO Krish Arvapally commented on the role of standards like LLMs.txt & Microsoft's NLWeb in an interview with VentureBeat on "the battle to AI-enable the web."

Technology

Dappier provides an AI data marketplace where publishers can expose data models under usage-based terms: via retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) APIs or MCP, Dappier provides permissioned content to AI systems at the time of inference.

Dappier also provides white-label AI experiences for publishers and site owners like Wild Sky Media, Morgan Murphy Media & News-Press & Gazette Company.

In January 2025, Dappier announced Interactive Ads that embed Dappier's Ask AI into online banner ads.

In September 2025, online adtech firm Sovrn announced a partnership with Dappier to offer contextually relevant conversational ads integrated within AI-generated answers.

In October 2025, Dappier announced a partnership with LiveRamp to personalize ads within publishers’ native AI chat and search products.

In December 2024, ADWEEK called out Dappier as an "AI Firm Helping Publishers Navigate AI in 2024".

In February 2025, Austin Business Journal named Dappier an Austin Startup To Watch in 2025.
