Daniel Gruneberg
Daniel attended Quinnipiac University for the first two years of his college career, before transferring to Fordham University.
Professional
Currently, Daniel is the Director of Business Development of an adventure travel marketplace and community called ekoVenture. He runs their New York office.
Before he joined ekoVenture, Daniel was an early team member at an emerging technology advisory and research firm called Lux Research. Lux focused their efforts on physical sciences and clean technologies. The company has been invited to speak in front of the United States Congress, and contributed to the signing of the $4.6 billion 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act by President Bush.
At Lux, Daniel launched and managed a strategic initiative designed to help the financial services industry – mainly private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, and investment banks – assisting them in their investment and deal strategy in clean energy and materials. Daniel was also a member of the team who worked with the U.S. Department of Energy on initiating and managing workshops with leaders in finance, energy, materials, and government to focus on making strides towards generating more technologies focused on energy efficiency based in the United States.
He was also an author the Lux Research Solar Journal, an intelligence report that was sent out weekly to clients on global solar companies .
Personal
Daniel is an avid adventure traveler, and has visited over 20 countries. He's summited Mount Kilimanjaro, gone zip lining in the jungle of Chiang Mai, experience extended tours of the culture and cuisine of Turkey.
