Dancing Turtle Records
Dancing Turtle Records is a London-based independent record label set up by Dominic Brown in 2005, with the aim of releasing [...] edge music from emerging artists around the world. Their releases have a strong leaning towards the genres of folk, electronica, indie and world music.
The label has developed a number of artists from Europe, and as far afield as Zambia, West Papua, and Brazil, under the banner "music acts without prejudice" . They also act as a not-for-profit organisation, with label profits given to charitable causes. Some of the labels releases are reflected in this ideology too, raising awareness for good causes and pressure groups.
