Dale R. Miller

Dale R. Miller (born October 7, 1973, Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian actor.

Career

Based in Toronto, Miller's studies, performances and travels have taken him to Hong Kong, South America, the Caribbean, the United States and Australia.

Musicals

Miller has appeared and starred in many shows including Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Gypsy, The Buddy Holly Story, Cats, Forever Plaid, Plaid Tidings, Side by Side by Sondheim, The Giant's Garden, Evita, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Knickerbocker Holiday, I Do, I Do, Victor/Victoria and most recently Les Miserables where he starred as Marius.

Miller spent almost a year as the lead vocalist aboard a Holland American cruise ship working with Stiletto Entertainment of Los Angeles, California, a company owned by Barry Manilow. He worked on the Canadian premiere of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid’s Tale at the Canadian Opera Company directed by Phyllida Lloyd. He appeared in a short film called Ace in the Hole, featuring at international film festivals in 2001. Miller was a featured vocalist in the season 3 and 4 finales of Canadian Idol, working alongside such artists as Nelly Furtado and the Barenaked Ladies.

Coaching

Miller is also a private vocal coach in his Toronto home. He has coached many performers across Canada and the United States and many of his students and clients have appeared in such shows as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, Mamma Mia, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Lord of the Rings, Miss Saigon and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

He lives and works in Toronto, Canada with his partner Tim.
