Dale and Thomas Popcorn

Dale and Thomas Popcorn is a gourmet popcorn company based in Englewood, New Jersey. The company was founded by Warren Struhl and Richard Demb. They have "the first ever popcorn chef" named Chef Ed, who is the spokesperson and mascot for Dale and Thomas Popcorn. He does all the company's promotional public and television appearances. The company's original name was "Popcorn, Indiana" until partnering with Isiah Thomas, Hall of Fame Basketball player and current general manager and coach of The New York Knicks. Both companies coexist today under the same management.

Dale and Thomas Popcorn, with the hiring of a new marketing director, was one of the first companies to advertise using the online culture of bloggers by starting their own blog where employees get to write articles AbOUT the goings on of the company.

Isiah Thomas

Because of his childhood memories, Isiah Thomas (The “Thomas” in Dale and Thomas Popcorn) is part owner of the gourmet popcorn company. Growing up in a Chicago ghetto, a staple food in the family's diet was popcorn due to its inexpensiveness. The 6’1”, 185 lbs. former Detroit Pistons basketball player was raised on popcorn.

On December 22 2003, Thomas was named President of Basketball Operations for the New York Knicks. This is when he was introduced to Popcorn Indiana. When walking around New York City, he stopped into a popcorn factory located on the Upper West Side. After purchasing and eating a Popcorn, Indiana product, Isiah Thomas wanted to have a hand in trying to produce the greatest popcorn. Popcorn, Indiana's name was changed to Dale and Thomas Popcorn.

Dale Humphrey

The "Dale" in Dale and Thomas Popcorn is the mayor of Popcorn, Indiana. The town's main crop is corn, and it features a main street called Popcorn Road and a river called Popcorn River. Dale Humphrey does not have any financial ties to the popcorn company.
