D. G. Yola

D.G. Yola (born Mario Talley in 1985) is an American rapper based in the Deep South. A native of Atlanta, GA, D.G. Yola had his first huge hit with the single "Ain't Gon Let Up", released on June 72006. Since D.G. stands for Da Great, his full professional name, if used, would be Da Great Yola. On rare cases, he would sometimes be referred to as Yola Da Great.

D.G. Yola claims to be from Allen Temple in Atlanta, Georgia, but is actually from Lancaster, South Carolina.

Recovery

D.G. Yola was somewhere in Metro Atlanta where he was upon a robbery attempt-turned-attempted [...]. He was stopped a red light in his car when the robber pulled out a gun and shot D.G. Yola in the jaw. Yola is recovering in a hospital in the Atlanta-area. The doctors were able to remove all the bullet fragments from his jaw but they did have to temporarily remove his tract so he has a small hole under his adam's apple. This incident did not crush his joyful spirit though as he is packing his CDs and bringing cheers to people at the hospital.
