D.A. Davidson & Co. is an employee-owned broker-dealer based in Great Falls, Montana, United States. Established in 1935, the company is one of the largest regional investment firms not based on Wall Street, based on Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association figures.

According to the company's annual report, D.A. Davidson & Co. provides investment guidance and products that include those in equity capital markets, fixed income capital markets and individual investment brokerage products and services. Within those business units, D.A. Davidson & Co. provides award-winning research and is a leader in corporate finance in the Pacific Northwest.

In 2007, D.A. Davidson & Co. underwrote nearly $4.2 billion of bonds to finance and refinance large and small public sector projects nationwide. D.A. Davidson ranked 14th nationwide in terms of public finance transactions closed, according to Securities Data Corp. figures.

In 2008, D.A. Davidson is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the year that the company's Chairman, Ian B. Davidson, started working for the firm. When he first joined, Ian Davidson joined his father and a receptionist-cashier to become the third employee, according to the book, "The Lengthening Shadow," which outlines the history of the company.
