Cry Red
Cry Red are an English rock band from London, formed by guitarist Anthony Hutchins on the back of a music publishing deal, exposure on BBC Radio 1 and original recordings featuring Nashville-based singer Karl Michael, a Contestant on the Voice UK series 2. They released their debut album Everything and the Space in Between, produced by Tim Wills of alternative rock band Shed Seven, in 2020. They released their EP Electric Oceans in 2023, featuring drummer Geoff Holroyde of Welsh rock band Feeder and produced by Tori Amos and Depeche Mode producer Adrian Hall. They are influenced by Irish rock band U2, Welsh band Manic Street Preachers and Coldplay. The band consists of Hutchins, as well as lead singer Jayson Keeler, Brazilian guitarist Bruno Centofanti (of Italian descent through Centofanti's parents), bassist Dom Peyton and drummer Ed Boateng (of Ghanaian descent through Boateng's parents) as the 5 members of the group. They have over 80,000 album streams alone on Swedish audio streaming service Spotify. They recorded with Brit Award-winning producer Chris Potter of the Verve and Richard Ashcroft and performed at several venues, notably 229 and the 100 Club.
