Cruise118 are a cruise travel agency based in the town of Chorley, Lancashire in North West England.

Company History

Cruise118 is a trading name of Travel 118 Ltd. The company was started in June 2008 by directors James Cole and Mal Barritt. Both men had previously worked for MyTravel. In the first 6 weeks of trading Cruise118 turned over £1 million.

In June 2010 Cruise118 announced a partnership with cruise distributor World Travel Holdings.

The Company Today

Today Cruise118 trade online and by phone. They focus solely on selling cruise holidays from a number of cruise lines. Cruise118 are also the distributor for cruise holidays sold on Travelsupermarket.com. Cruise118 offer a cruise concierge service so that customers maintain a single point of contact throughout their booking process. They offer cruise holidays worldwide but sell solely within the UK market.

Cruise118 employ around 30 homeworkers as well as their in-house staff in Chorley. Cruise118 sell cruise holidays at AlaskaOnly.com, SixStarCruises.co.uk and SailfromUK.com. In 2011 Cruise 118 began expansion into niche travel sectors, including river cruises and extended around the world cruising.

Awards

Cruise118 won an award for Online Agent of the Year at the Agent Achievement Awards in 2009. In 2010 the company were named Agency of the Year at the ACE Excellence Awards. They were also awarded the Best Agent-only Website award at the Travolution Awards 2010.
