Credo (band)
CREDO (band) are a melodic/progressive rock band, often termed Neo Prog featuring Tim Birrell on Guitar, Jim Murdoch on bass and backing vocals, Mark Colton on vocals, Mike Varty on keyboards and backing vocals and Martin Meads on drums.
The current line up has been ACTIVE since 1999, however a long period of apparent absence was inforced by serious health issues for Mark Colton between 2002 and 2007.
The award winning and critically acclaimed album RHETORIC was released on September 11th 2005, a full 11 years after their first album Field of Vision.
As you would expect, the addition of Mike Varty in 96 and Martin Meads in 98 and an 11 year absence ensured that whilst retaining the basic spirit of the first album, Rhetoric exceeded expectations for many and resulted in the band playing RoSfest in 2008, ProgFarm in 2008 and undertake their first major European tour in May 2009.
The suuccess of RHETORIC resulted in CREDO being invited to perform in Poland in the Autumn of 2008 and the resulting show was captured and released on DVD and Audio CD.
The band remain active and the New Studio Album should be available in the autumn of 2010.
