Creativity-based learning is an educational model that looks to inspire innovative thinking.
Abstract
Thailand has launched an education reform through a massive review of the education system since 1999 but today, the teaching method is still taught with traditional approach or teacher-centered and subject-based learning. And the method has limitation for improving students' essential skills that are needed for the new workspace.
The purpose of this study is to propose the creativity-based learning model, one of the student-centered learning approaches and to evaluate the effectiveness of this model.
The main concepts of creativity-based learning model were created from the merger of the process of problem-based learning and the concept of lateral thinking.
The study consists of 3 phases
Phase 1 The development of tools and a draft model
Phase 2 Verification of the model
Phase 3 Evaluation the effectiveness of this model
The results of study revealed as follows
Creativity-based learning Model consists of 8 processes:
1. Inspiration
2. Learning by Playing
3. One -to -One Teaching
4. Individual Problem Solving
5. Team Project
6. Creative Presentation
7. Competition
8. Evaluation
The effectiveness of this model can be acknowledged from the improvement of the student’s skills as follows:
