Cortney Jackson

Cortney Jackson (born July 12, 1988) is an American-born collegiate basketball player from Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. Jackson stands 6'5", is a wing guard and is right-handed. As a 9th Grader at Robert E. Lamberton High School he was highly touted and considered a top freshman locally. Now is expected to continue his athletic career at a 4-year institution.

High school

In 2002, was enrolled in Robert E. Lamberton and was the only FreshMen playing for the Blue Devils. Played sparingly early on but midway into the season became a reliable offensive option, in which included a 30-point eruption against Prep Charter, which seemed to be his coming out party.

In 2003, to the chagrin of many transferred to Football powerhouse West Catholic.Plagued by "Unlisted ineligiblities", missed majority of his Sophomore and Junior season, but was still listed on the ACTIVE roster. His senior year and his first full year of playing time, The Burrs struggled winning games.

Summer Time

He attended several city summer leagues and tournaments which made up for his lack of High School athletics. The Narberth Summer League, The Sonny Hill League and The "Best of Philly" Tournament. In the Narberth Summer League Jackson played in a total of 12 of 12 games averaging 18 points per game, included was a 30 point 12 reb performance. He was later named to the First team All-Narberth Team, and to the Blue- Allstar Team.

College

Summer of 2006, enrolled in Slippery Rock University (SRU), did not play freshmen year and since has transferred. Expected to sign as a sophmore to Eastern University.
