Cortiva Institute is a community of massage therapy schools with multiple locations in the United States. It trains students in the fields of massage therapy, personal fitness training, and continuing education in the massage therapy field.

Courses
Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Coursework in musculoskeletal Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology provides a solid foundation in understanding the structure, function and health of the human body. Here students learn core principles for safe and effective decision making for clients with medical conditions.
Massage Therapy Theory and Technique Through hands-on work students learn a repertoire of technique movements and various elements including rhythms, speeds, pressures, transition and treatment construction. Specialization is taught here as students learn the skills necessary to create a massage therapy treatment for a specific person including tension assessment, treatment planning, element variation and integration. Incorporated throughout is an emphasis on practicing effective and safe movement habits.
Professional Development and Communication This coursework rounds out the comprehensive educational experience with business and communication skills necessary to succeed as a professional massage therapist. With faculty guidance, students define goals and target markets for a successful practice. Exercises in goal setting, writing a resume, creating a business plan, marketing, advertising, and self-management enable students to boost their basic skill set for establishing a practice after graduation.
