Colin Turner (born 24th October 1954 in Forres, Scotland) is the author of over 15 books, published in 45 countries and 39 languages.
Biography
Background
Turner was born in a Caravan and raised on a small Highland Croft near Inverness, Scotland . He is married with four children, three sons, one daughter and a granddaughter. He presently resides in Monaco.
Entrepreneur
He earned personal entrepreneurial insight from experiencing, and surviving, three recessions. He founded 9 enterprises from start-up including Paramount Homes – pioneers in bespoke luxury housing. He also developed The Piaf Theme Restaurants and Cockfosters Group; and the SkyPark Business Centres.
Chairmanships
He is a Former Chairman of Futuremedia Learning – one of Europe’s leading multi-platform learning solutions specialists and former President of the parent company, Futuremedia plc – A NASDAQ listed award winning e-learning company. He is Chairman of the Zena Foundation, a charity, which involves the patronage of John McCarthy, set up to support victims of culturally agravated murders and domestic violence survivors in line with recent UK government initiatives.
Professor/Mentor
As Professor Emeritus of Entrepreneurship, Colin Turner advises leading businesses from GlaxoSmithKline to Gartner and Microsoft to Monsanto. During his tenure as Director of Entrepreneurial Leadership at Theseus International Management Institute, today part of the EDHEC Business School, the Financial Times ranked the Institute No. 1 worldwide for internationality in Customised Executive Programs. His belief model for leadership has been embraced by leading organisations , and continues to speak and mentor around the world

Colin is the author of 15 books international bestselling books published in 45 countries and 39 languages. His non-fiction work combines Eastern philosophy and contemporary Western experience. Seven of his books were in the top 100 list Japan – including Born to Succeed that reached No 1. His book Made for Life was on the recommended doctoral reading list at Southampton University and his management books are available at the London Business School. He also writes novels under the name of Emerson Cole .
