Cloud Spires

Cloud Spires is a realm of Sunrise Spring Home in the video game Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

Setting

Cloud Spires is a series of islands in the sky, inhabited by little men with mohawks and wings.

Rhynocs

Every realm in the 3rd Spyro video game has a number of varied creatures called rhynocs and their allies.

Small Rhynocs

In Cloud Spires, the small rhynocs have lightning bolts as weapons, and shields and helmets for defense (see image on right). Their armor is fireproof, so you have to charge them.

Large Rhynocs

In this realm, the large rhynocs do not hurt you, but they do blow you away with huge wings. If you are unfortunate enough, they could sweep you off a cliff (see image on right).

Items

Cloud Spires contains six eggs and 500 gems. One egg is found by completing the level. Three are found in areas (see below), and the other two are hidden somewhere else in the realm.

Areas

Areas are the places behind magic black portals, where you can take up challenges for an egg. In cloud Spires, there are two areas.

Sun Seeds

Behind the home portal in Cloud Spires, there is an island containing an area where a flying man asks you to flame three sun seeds, one at a time, across the course. Once they are all in the pot, a new sun forms.

Bell Tower Spirits

Just in front of the home portal, there is an elevator. This will take you up into an area where a man is in distress because the rain cloud will not wake up. The flying men usually wake the cloud up by ringing six BElls, each in their own tower. But now there are evil spirits keeping the bells from ringing. You must flame all six spirits before your superfly runs out.

In this area, there is also an egg thief.
