Cinderella Was A Liar: The Real Reason You Can't Find or Keep a Prince is a popular self-improvement book written by Brenda Della Casa, a magazine writer and reality show casting director. The book was published by McGraw-Hill in 2007.

The Title of the book is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the popular children's tale of Cinderella. Inspired by InterViews with nearly 1,000 men and over 500 women, the book's basic contention is that in order have your best romance you must first be your best self.

Della Casa argues that too many women are caught up in the fairy tale myth and need a "romantic reality check." She spends a good potion of the book identifying traits, actions and reactions that women can eliminate and control in order to "re-write their romantic realities and create their own happily ever after's."

Della Casa's articles are frequently found on ediets, a popular nutrition site, IVillage, a popular women's site and various magazines and web sites here and in the United Kingdom. She is a member of the popular comedy group, The Phat Phree and contributed to Look At My Striped Shirt: Confessions of The People You Love To Hate which was published by Broadway in 2007.
