Christos Efstathiou

Christos Efstahiou (born August 24, 1990 in Paphos) is a Cypriot football goalkeeper, who currently plays for Akritas Chlorakas. He is also important member of the Cyprus national under-19 football team.

Early life

Capone was born in Paphos, near the city of Limassol, Cyprus on 24 August 1990, one of two children of Andreas Efstathiou,a refugee from Turkish invasion of 1974 in Cyprus, former twice champion at Cyprus Motocross Championship and Athinodorou Bros - Super Beton - ReadyMix Concrete head manager, and Arsinoe Menelaou, who is Cypriot.He has been known until now from his great attributes both mental and physical.

Club career

Capone who particularly impressed in his home town's private academies began playing as goalkeeper in AEP Paphos's U-17 and U-21 teams at the age of 14.On the summer of 2006 after a local's then Cypriot Third Division offer from his town club Atromitos Yeroskipou and especially by his own decision, he moved to Geroskipou's team.Shows then samples of his talent, making his first-team debut at the age of 16 and following twice club's promotions of same periods time, he gained his first Cyprus national under-19 football team call-up and immediately next, his transfer to one of the greatest clubs of the island, Omonia Nicosia.Since he started to Being professional combining football with Administration (business) studies and trained for a year with the senior squad, at summer of 2009 had the dilemma of an invitation for trials from an abroad's club or to manage some offers from the domestic championship.Finally decided to sign for Akritas Chlorakas for taking playing experiences.
