Christopher Stringini

Christopher Richard Stringini (also known as "Richie Stringini") is an American actor, dancer, and singer. He was born on November 28, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Early life

Stringini was adopted when he was four days old to Kathleen and Robert Stringini, of Wheaton, Illinois, USA. He has an older brother named Bobby. He attended Acacia Academy for schooling, locaed in LaGrange, IL. Stringini began acting and modeling professionally at the age of four. He later starred in the film Rule Number One (2005), before auditioning in Florida for a Reality-TV show called Big in America.

US5

Known as "Richie" in the pop boyband US5, a group developed by music mogul Lou Pearlman through a German reality-TV show called Big in America. He is an original member of US5, which is currently having success in Europe with their Top50 single "Maria". They are currently on a European stadium tour through to 2008.

Controversy

In late 2006, a person in a nightclub in Berlin, captured camera-phone images of a semi-conscious Christopher Stringini in a bathroom stall, "apparently" being felated by a fellow band-member. News and entertainment programmes on the European continent speculated whether he was homosexual, a rumor hyped due to the suggestive stop-frame played on their video segments during the media after-blitz. Other rumors included that he may have been drugged. However, Stringini insists his orientation is towards females, and that he simply drank five or six Coca-Cola sodas in the club, and began to feel sick. This interview was broadcast on RTL in Germany.

In another incident, Stringini and fellow US5 band-member Christoph Watrin, were arrested en-route to their first big concert in Russia. Their limousine was pulled over by police who asked to see passports and ID. Their hotel had forgotten to stamp the proper international verification in Stringini and Watrin's passports, and they were taken to the police station to clear the matter. They later made it to their show to perform to a sold-out 50,000 seat crowd. The incident occurred during the filming of the Reality-TV show Big In America II.
