Christina Cáceres

Some of the artists she has performed with are Cuban pianist/arranger/composer NACHITO HERRERA, percussionist/ vocalist ESTAIRE GODINEZ, Brazilian Axé singer of BANDA RELOGIO- DANDARA, Alex Acuña and Sheila E.. Along with being a mainstay in the Minneapolis music scene, she also lead her own group, Zafiro, including Cuban pianist and music director Viviana Pintado. Her impact on the salsa/tropical scene has led to the accolade of being voted 'best female vocalist' by entertainment magazine VIDA y SABOR, and also the honors of singing the national anthem at both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Twins games. In 2005 she released an updated version of 1970's salsa hit "tu no sabes querer", which was arranged and recorded by Willie Ruiz (arranger and trumpet), members of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, PABLO "CHINO" NUÑEZ (percussion), and Willie Torres (trumpet and vocals).
