Origins of ChristianMedia.ca

ChristianMedia.ca was formed after the 1999 Media Ministry Conference which took place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 11 and June 12, 1999. The Media Ministry Conference was organized by David M.R.D. Spencer. The conference was held in conjunction with Tyndale University College & Seminary's Tyndale Arts,Media and Music Conference organized by Robert Hunter, Michelle Sim, Robb Sykes and Larry Willard.

Since 2000, the volunteer editors have been inviting Christians working and ministering in media in Canada to list on ChristianMedia.ca. The Statement of Faith and Guiding Principles for ChristianMedia.ca help to provide participants with a foundation for their involvement in the project.

ChristianMedia.ca runs on a web server using Wiki software. This is the same software used by Wikipedia.org .

Who Contributes to ChristianMedia.ca?

Content contributors to ChristianMedia.ca include owners of Canadian media ministries, Canadian media workers and Christian friends and families of Canadian media workers and ministries.
