Chris Warunki

Chris Warunki, born on September 18, 1980, is a multifaceted professional drummer based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His session work has ranged from Soundtrack work for Warner (I Am Legend, Batman Black & White) to Metal drum loops for Sony to albums and live work with several Bands/Artists in a wide range of genres (including country, folk, jazz, funk, fusion, prog, brit rock, rockabilly, top 40, blues, drum&bass/jungle, reggae, etc.). His drumming has been described as a cross between studio greats Vinnie Colaiuta and Josh Freese, whom he both cites as influences. He has toured Canada, USA and Europe with bands including Canadian Idol (Season 5) Runner Up and HRM Recording Artist Jaydee Bixby (whom Chris currently tours with) and Independent Artists Big John Bates & The Voodoo Dollz, The Capitals and The February March. While in Vancouver Chris maintains an ACTIVE schedule recording/performing with his original bands (Darker The Sky, The Imperial Playground and Omnisight) and cover bands (Karaoke Hitmen and Baby Jane) and teaching.
