Chris Kibermanis
Chris Kibermanis was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada, from November 22, 2004 to January 29, 2005. He represented Edmonton Castle Downs for the Alberta Liberal Party.
Prior to his short political career he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1994. He played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Red Deer Rebels.
Chris won Edmonton Castle Downs by just 5 votes over incumbent Progressive Conservative Member of the Legislative Assembly Thomas Lukaszuk. He ended up winning three appeals, but the courts eventually overturned the result and claimed that Thomas Lukaszuk had won by three votes. Chris had the option of appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada but decided not to.
Chris currently works construction in Edmonton and has already been nominated to run again, in Edmonton Castle Downs during the next provincial election.
