Choo-Choo Goes Ga-Ga
Choo-Choo Goes Ga-Ga is the 25th episode of the animated television series "Top Cat." It was originally aired on March 7, 1962.
Plot
A Hollywood star (who's a cat) named Lola Glamure has Choo-Choo lovestruck. After she turns down one too many dates with him, Choo-Choo decides to commit [...] and jump off a bridge and drown himself (courtesy of a rock attached to a rope tied around his waist). However, Top Cat manages to stop him in attempt to get them a date with each other, as Lola is coming to town that day. Therefore, Top Cat gathers up the rest of the alley gang, but first, he throws the rock, along with Choo-Choo, but the water is only AbOUT knee-high (to get attention, Choo-Choo claims he's drowning).
When up on the ledge of the hotel building Lola is staying at to convince her Choo-Choo is worthy, and they sneak in, only to be caught by Officer Dibble and thrown out of the hotel.
They all of a sudden convince Lola that Choo-Choo is a rich man who goes by the name of "Count Chooch." All of a sudden, Lola wants to meet him, but this is once again delayed when Choo-Choo ties himself to a train track. However, T.C. convinces Choo-Choo that Lola wants to meet him. They finally meet, but it turns out they discover each other's true identities (Lola is a woman named Gerti Hefflemeyer) because they already knew each other...in elementary school.
To end the episode, Officer Dibble catches Top Cat and somehow has the rock from earlier tied to his foot. In a huff, Dibble orders T.C. to throw the rock off of the bridge. T.C. does so...only to throw Dibble off the bridge too.
