Charmaine Chinapen is a 21-year-old neurosurgery student at the University of St. John's in New York, USA. She will be competing in the Miss World 2008 pageant to be held on December 13 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She was born in Curacao and moved to several countries before settling in Belize as her home at the age of 9 and became a citizen along with her immediate family. She has one brother, Kevin, her father is in the banking industry and her mother recently returned to the University to further her studies after raising her family. She is an avid helper in any community she is a part of and she hopes one day to work with Doctors Without Frontiers.

Representing Belize at the Miss World 2008 Pageant

The 58th Miss World pageant, Miss World 2008, will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 13, 2008. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held in Kiev, Ukraine. Over 100 delegates will compete for the crown and title, currently held by Zhang Zilin of China.
