Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio


Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio is an all horror podcast and internet radio show. Based out of Michigan, the show debuted on September 15, 2006. Kevin, knows as HorrorFreaKev is the host and creator the show. The show airs every other Friday all year long, and has a wide variety of features, such as; how to build various halloween projects, info on horror related shopping, re-airing of nostalgic horror commercials and movie trailers, and even upcoming horror dvd releases.

However, the show is most notably known for its full in-depth news on the horror world, such as; horror movies either being released, in the works or rumored to be in the works, plus news on upcoming horror conventions. It also covers news on horror literature (novels, comic books, etc.) and horror music. It also covers news on haunted attractions, whether it be props, conventions, tradeshows, and even actual haunted attractions within the world.

History

The show debuted September 15, 2006 as a part of a small America OnLine members web-site. The show started off featuring only dvd release dates, news, and a few horror sound bites.

September 29, 2006, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio debuted a new segment to the show, called, Retched Radio. The segment, which is hosted by a character named, 'the Freek'.

October 6, 2006, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio debuted, the Chop Shop, a segment devoted entirely to horror shopping, and horror merchandise.

October 13, 2006, the show announced that it would switch from a weekly show to every other friday.

October 27, 2006, on one of the biggest shows to date, they featured a full length interview with the director of the horror movie, Sin-Jin Smyth.

November 24, 2006, the show debuted their annual Cruel Yule celebration throughout the month of December. Featuring airings of horror Christmas related commercials, trailers, songs, and more!

April 27, 2007, marked the last Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio from its then current format and website location.

July 20, 2007, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio returned completely reformatted with a new web-site http://hauntedradio.50webs.com/ which Delivered new features, and for the first time the show was available for download on podcast.

On that very episode they even debuted a new segment, The Dead Do-It-Yourselfer, which is hosted by a character of theirs named, Rigg A. Mortis. On the segment, Rigg A. Mortis explains to the listeners how to design a diiferent halloween prop each EDition.

August 17, 2007, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio debuted their new chat forum and message board, and The New official store for the show, titled, the Chop Shop after their segment of the same name.

On that episode, they debuted yet again, another new character and segment. The Goblin's Lair which is hosted by the Goblin features horror poetry performed by a menacing, mischievous goblin.

August 31, 2007, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio debuted another new segment, titled, The Critic Carn-evil which features reviews of horror movies either in theaters, on television, or on dvd.

September 28, 2007, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio debuted their hauntline. Listeners can call in and leave what the show calls, a "sadistic shoutout" and can hear themselves on upcoming editions of the show.

October 26, 2007, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio had their largest show to date. Over hundreds and hundreds and hundreds tuned into hear the new editions to the Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio's Haunted Hall of Fame and the 2007 winners of their annual Golden Corpse Awards!

November 23, 2007, to coincide with the debut of their second annual Cruel Yule celebration, Channel 66.6 HM Haunted Radio opened up their Cruel Yule store!
