CEPIS
The Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) is a non-profit organisation seeking to improve and promote a high standard among Informatics Professionals in recognition of the impact that Informatics has on employment, business and society. CEPIS represents 37 Member Societies across 33 European Countries, representing over 250,000 informatics professionals.
One of the goals of CEPIS is to be a leading organisation in the promotion and development of ICT Skills across Europe. CEPIS is responsible for the highly successful ECDL and EUCIP programmes and produces a range of research and publications in the area of skills.
Education & Research forms the third field of focus for CEPIS. CEPIS is committed to supporting the development of Education & Research into Informatics in the academic field.

CEPIS Goals are:
• To be the main network of European ICT professionals
• To become established as the leading independent European ICT Certification Organisation
• To raise the profile and promote the views of the European Informatics Societies and Informatics Professionals, to the European Commission and Institutions
• To promote the development of the information society through digital literacy, skills, education & research, and professionalism
CEPIS Certifications
CEPIS is responsible for two leading European ICT skills certifications:
• EUCIP (European Certification of Informatics Professionals)
• ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence)
