Centric (music producer)

Christopher Louray Mandujan (born August 28, 1983), better known by his stage name Centric, is a well known underground record producer for "FreeAtLastMusic" publishing. Centric has produced singles for a number of artists from 2003 to the present day. Centric’s first production work was in 2004 on “The Soul Affect” for Christian rapper Soul P. After further successful work on Tha GIM’s 2006 album “Antidote For Destruction” and Median’s 2007 album “Median’s Relief”, Centric became a prominent producer for underground hip-hop artists, collaborating with well known lyrisists such as Canibus and Skillz. He released his solo project in 2008 titled “StreetSoul The Compilation”, which contained a collection of various songs he produced from 2004 until 2008. His second compilation release titled “The Alter Ego” is set to be released mid 2010.

Biography

Christopher Louray Mandujan was born and raised in Stockton, California. Mandujan began making hip hop tracks on a home PC using various software programs. While in high school, Mandujan began collaborating with producer/radio personality Noah Ayala. The name “Centric” was chosen after a close friend described his music as being “Eccentric”. Rapper Soul P heard his material and began working with him. After producing the hit single "Wait" for Soul P’s second album, word quickly spread and caught the attention of various underground and commercial acts. He continued producing records earning him production credit on independent and major releases including rap legend Kurtis Blow’s “The Block Iz Hot” compilation. Centric was also the first place winner of Beatmart Records first annual remix contest held in 2006.
