Central Florida Law Journal
Central Florida Law Journal is a monthly trade publication for those in the law professions. It is published in Brevard County, Florida. The Editor is Donna Balancia.
Prior to founding Central Florida Law Journal, Donna Balancia was a business writer with Florida Today, a daily consumer newspaper in Brevard County. Previously she was a business editor with the now-defunct dbusiness.com. She also covered the film business for The Hollywood Reporter, sports for United Press International and worked for Gannett in Westchester, N.Y.
Central Florida Law Journal circulates to 500 attorneys and other legal professionals in Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Cocoa Beach and Daytona among other cities. It often quotes the likes of attorneys and law professors on current topics relevant to the law professions.
One feature is "Legal-Ease," written by professor Glen-Peter Ahlers of the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law at Barry University in Orlando. Another feature is the "Movers and Shakers" section which compiles news of new law firms, law firm changes of address and staff additions.
In addition to feature InterViews with those in the legal professions throughout the state of Florida, the Central Florida Law Journal also has commentary from Florida attorneys on recent court decisions.
