Celestia (album)
Celestia is a 2007 studio album by Houston based indie rock musician Sam Cashion, and the first album from said artist.
Recording
Recording for Celestia took from February of 2007 to October of 2007. All of the songs were recorded and mixed on an Apple PowerBook G4 computer. The first song recorded was Gore, which ironically was also the last song recorded. Gore's core tracks were laid out in February and the song went through many incarnations until the final mix was done in October. Around the end of the Celestia sessions, recording was put to a stop to help out local act Soundgasm get started on their first album. The song Third Eye was recorded in that time, even featuring vocals by Sam Cashion. There are echoes of the Celestia style in this track.
Surrender, the second track on Celestia received the most attention out of the album.
