Seven years ago, on a trip to England, the Humphreys found Bouncer. He was a three-year-old Welsh Cob who, according to his owner, was a proven driving pony in that he could already do pub runs on Sundays. It isn't the way that your average American pony learns to drive but then Bouncer isn't your average pony: Bouncer is the current FEI World Combined Driving Pony Champion and one of only five finalists in the USEF Horse of the Year Awards. At ten years old and just 13.3 hands, this driving dynamo has sent the driving world into a whirlwind of jubilation. He won the first ever U.S. Individual Federation Equestrian International Driving Gold Medal and had the top score at the World Championships out of 81 entries from 16 countries. Bouncer was nominated by the American Driving Society and also by the Welsh Pony Society. According to Sarah Lane of the USEF, 2005 was "the inaugural year of the Farnam-Platform/USEF Horse of the Year.
