CCNet (Course Management System)
CCNet (the Course Communication Network) is a web-based proprietary Course Management System (also known as a Learning Management System or Virtual Learning Environment). CCNet is provided and developed by Zumo Software Inc. CCNet allows instructors to create course web sites to supplement in-class learning, allowing bi-directional communication and information sharing between students and instructors. Institutional users of CCNet have included University of Toronto, Stanford University, and University of Alberta.

Deployment
A hosting service is provided by Zumo Software: MyCCNet. The service allows individual instructors to set up course web pages using CCNet. A free, ad-supported solution is available, as well as several ad-free options with additional features at a cost per course. Zumo Software also provides private instantiations of CCNet for institutions.
