CCC Kei Wa Primary School(中華基督教會基華小學) is at 3, Wong Kuk Avenue, Choi Hung Estate, Ngau Chi Wan, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, Hong Kong. In Year 1964, CCC Kei Wa Primary School organized by The Hong Kong Council of the Church of Christ in China. Since this school continuously has maintained the fine tradition, sets up each kind of extracurricular activity, attends many extracurricular competitions, devotes the student studies and the moral education development. This school student comes from various areas, the student population approximately to have 730 people.

To cultivate a prosperous life, to witness the love of Christ, with the Christ's love as motivation and the human-based principle, we would like to provide quality education, activate students' potential and share the Gospel. To guide students to be good citizens and to contribute to the society and the country.

Learning and Teaching Plan

Learning & Teaching Strategies

  1. English language teaching and training are emphasized. Three NETs are employed to provide different learning activities for students.

General education and creative learning programmes are held on Saturdays. There is a thirty-minutes self-study session and a twenty minutes reading session everyday.We use Pocket PC for outdoor learning and data collection. We have lessons in Kei Wa Ocean World and Ocean Park. Students are required to perform Music and Dance in Ngau Chi Wan Recreational Centre. Make friends and discuss with oversea students.1. A cross-curricular approach is adopted to organise modules of learning of English Language and General Studies for P.4, P.5 and P.6 students. English version textbooks of General Studies are used.

  1. Linkage of civil education and other subjects have been developed. The importance of politeness is promoted.

Four Key Tasks

  1. Civil education is transmitted through various subjects.Students are reuired to learn outside the classroom and sometimes in Mainland China.
  2. There is a reading session every day. Students are required to read at least thirty Chinese and English books in one academic year.
  3. IT is highly advocated, students are required to finish some of their assignments with the use of IT. There is one Computer Studies lesson every week. The syllabus is specially designed by the teachers.
  4. Emphasize on the importance of bi-literacy and tri-lingualism, Putonghua is used as medium of instruction for the Chinese lesson in P.1-P.4.

Generic Skill

  1. We encourage discussion and presentation in lessons. We encourage IT learning.
  2. Encourage co-operative learning in classroom. Teaching and Learning of school is appreciated by EDB.

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Students’ Diverse Learning Needs

  1. P.3 to P.5 students are allocated to different classes according to their academic results.
  2. Various teaching objectives are employed in the Module Teaching.
  3. Enhancement programme and student support team are provided so as to cater for individual needs.
  4. Enrichment programme is provided to more able learners to develop their capabilities in learning.
  5. Remedial programme is held after school to give support to less able students.
  6. P.6 students are required to attend extra lessons for the transition from P.6 to S.1.
