Catherine S. Snodgrass

Catherine S. Snodgrass, (born in Brooklyn, NY) is an American author and illustrator of children's books, graphic designer and advocate of children on the autism spectrum. While she was in Junior High School, her painting of Times Square was displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

After working for several years in The New York City publishing industry, her first book, SUPER Silly Sayings that are Over Your Head: A Children's Illustrated Book of Idioms was published in 2004 by Starfish Press. In 2005, it was named a Benjamin Franklin Award Finalist in the category of Best New Voice (Children's/Young Adult).

In 2008, What's That Look on Your Face? All AbOUT FACES and Feelings was published by Autism Asperger Publishing Company (AAPC). The book is often used as an educational tool for helping children with autism, nonverbal learning disorder, and other social learning challenges to recognize the facial expressions that accompany specific feelings.
