Catalencoder

Catalencoder is free software for converting MPEG-2 (VOB) video to the MPEG-4 Part 2 format.
History
Software development begun at September 13, 2003. Last release is version 1.4.0 (stable)

* LAME (encoding WAV to MP3)
* A52Dec (encoding AC3 to WAV)
* DGIndex (VOB to AC3, and video index building)
* Avisynth (resize video)
* ffdshow (DirectShow filter for video playback)
* OggEnc (WAV to Ogg Vorbis)
* Xvid (MPEG-4 compressor for converting VOB to AVI)
* VirtualDubMod (for audio and video multiplexing)
* NSIS (to create installer)
* VobSub (for the extraction of subtitles from VOB files)
