PW is a name of a series of Chinese [[UAV]]s developed by developed by [http://www.caaa-spacechina.com/Enhangtian/ China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics (中国航天空气动力技术研究院)] of [[China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation]] (CASC), also known as the [http://today.hit.edu.cn/uploadfiles/2013/7-11/%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD%E8%88%AA%E5%A4%A9%E7%A7%91%E6%8A%80%E9%9B%86%E5%9B%A2%E5%85%AC%E5%8F%B8%E7%AC%AC%E5%8D%81%E4%B8%80%E7%A0%94%E7%A9%B6%E9%99%A2.pdf 11th Academy of CASC (中国航天科技集团公司十一院)], or 701st Research Institute. As of end of 2013, a total of two have been publicized, PW-1 and PW-2, which are derivatives of [[CASC Rainbow#CH-1|CASC CH-1]] and [[CASC Rainbow#CH-2|CASC CH-2]] respectively. PW-1 is the first member of PW series UAV, and it is in [[twin boom|twin-boom]] layout with a pair of skids as landing gear. Propulsion is provided by a two-blade propeller driven by a pusher engine mounted at the rear end of the fuselage.
