Caroline A. Rice
Caroline A. Rice is a New York-based television actress whose work can be seen on network TV shows and national commercials; she is also a host and emcee for a variety of live shows; additionally, as a voice over artist, she can be heard on everything from TV to museum exhibitions.
After graduating from Cal Arts, Caroline enjoyed a successful career as a dancer for several years in Los Angeles performing in legendary projects such as the well-known “Bend and Snap” routine in Legally Blond, the famous dancing eBay commercials, as well as the ground breaking dance numbers on The Drew Carey Show. She has also danced in many music videos, including the Spike Jonze directed “Get Back” video by Ludacris, the Killers “Mr. Brightside” as well as Madonna’s controversial “America Life”music video. Following her dance retirement, Caroline became a much sought after assistant choreographer and associate director for such celebrated director-choreographers as Toni Basil, Michael Rooney, Kenny Ortega and Jamie King, working on such projects as the Olympic Ceremonies, The MTV Movie Awards, The Grammy Awards and the years-long transformation and cross over of Ricky Martin to cultural icon status including the Livin’ La Vida Loca World Tour.
In 2000, Caroline began studying Improv with a group started by Bob Koherr and Kathy Kinney; before long she was hosting and performing regularly with Instant Gratification at The Comedy Store on Sunset. This work led to Caroline’s career as a television actor, with roles on such shows as Ally McBeal, Six Feet Under (TV series), That’s So Raven and Saturday Night Live; and recurring roles on Zoey 101 and Everybody Hates Chris. Since Caroline moved to New York in 2006, she’s enjoyed adding several national network commercials to her dossier, in such campaigns as H&R Block, Campbell’s Soup and Citibank, to name a few.
Never one to limit herself to one genre, Caroline is now enjoying a transition into a career as host and television presenter. She recently hosted the world-renowned international dance event, The Pulse - [www.ThePulseOnTour.com], where she introduced famed dance artists Tyce Diorio, Brian Friedman, Laurieann Gibson, Cris Judd and Mia Michaels.
Renowned in her field, Caroline is brought back year-after-year to serve as a performance judge, panelist, as well as a member of the selection committee for the American Choreography Awards. She also worked alongside celebrated Hollywood event-producer David Rodgers, developing and honing her taste-making skills. At home and among her friends, Caroline A. Rice, who was raised in Santa Barbara, California where she graduated from Dos Pueblos High School, is known far and wide as the “Black Martha Stewart” because she is a fierce cook and fabulous party hostess.
