Carola Remer

Carola Remer (born 4 October 1991) is a German model A child of a surgeon father and pharmacist mother, Carola Remer was well on her way to a career in medicine until her cousin sent photos of her to the local modeling agency. Now represented by One Management, the German has had an Immense editorial response this year, shooting for Japanese Vogue, Chinese Vogue, Self Service, and Harper's Bazaar. She booked all those spreads before making her fall 2011 catwalk debut, walking for an eclectic group of designers, including Ralph Lauren, Emilio Pucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Tom Ford.

Early life

Remer was born in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, a small town near Dusseldorf. As a kid Remer, loved spending a lot of time with friends, and liked to be outside all the time. Remer has one younger sister. Both of Remer's parents are in the medical field, and Remer thought that she wanted to study medicine and ended up taking it for three semesters.

Modeling

When Remer was at medical school, her cousin lived nearby, and one day she had someone come into her salon and ask if she knew anyone who would be a good model. Without asking Remer, she sent in Remer's pictures, and the agency that she sent them to asked if they could meet.

Remer had her breakthrough in 2011 after she switched to One Model Management in New York. She has walked the catwalk for names such as Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Ruffian, Diane von Furstenberg, Tom Ford, Rochas, Ohne Titel, Halston, Cacharel, Hakaan, Ralph Lauren, Gianfranco Ferre, Brioni, Moschino, Rad Hourani, Sportmax, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Emilio Pucci, and Roland Mouret. She also appeared in campaigns for Agent Provocateur, and Husky. She has been shot for editorials in Harper's Bazaar, Self Service, and Vogue China.
