Carmine Rosato
Carmine Rosato is a fictional maffioso from the Godfather series. He was known as one of the Rosato Brothers, along with his brother Antonio "Tony" Rosato. Carmine worked in Pete Clemenza's Organization after Michael Corleone moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He was also known to have ties with Hyman Roth in Miami, Florida. He is the weaker and less powerful Rosato brother.
Pete Clemenza's Organization(Corleone Family): 1955-1957
Carmine joined Pete Clemenza's Organization in 1955 along with his brother Tony. Carmine and Tony were loyal to Clemenza, and were promised three territories in the Bronx. In 1957, Clemenza died of a heart attack. Clemenza's successor, Frank Pentangeli took over as the Don of New York for the Corleone Family. Pentangeli hated the Rosato Brothers due to the thought that they were running their businesses like a disgrace so he refused to give them the territories. Pentangeli also blamed Carmine and Tony for Clemenza's death due to their greed over the territories. Then the Rosato Brothers split from the Corleones and began to form the Rosato Family.
The Family Divides: 1957-1958
Carmine Rosato and Tony split the family into two families in 1958 when Tony joined the Miami Organization and Carmine stayed back in New York to run the Rosato Family there. Carmine began to stir up trouble in Pentangeli's neighborhood. Pentangeli went to Michael AbOUT [...] Carmine in New York. As Michael was in negotiations with Roth, he refused to let him kill Carmine and to make a truce with him.
Rosato War Begins: Early 1959
Carmine's business begin to get taken over by the Corleone's Don of New York named Dominic Corleone and his men. Two of Carmine Rosato's enforcers died during the attacks on Carmine's businesses. Carmine Rosato Enforcer Jimmy Guidalatto and Enforcer Clyde Lando were killed by Dominic while reinforcing to take back Carmine's businesses. Then when Domninc stopped Carmine's soldiers from taken back one of the businesses, Dominic killed Carmine Rosato Caporegime Franklin Credi. Then this was when Pentangeli and Dominc went to Richie's Tavern to make a truce with Carmine Rosato. Suddenly, Pentangeli is being garrote wired by Tony Rosato and by the Rosato guards. During the attempt, a policeman enters the bar and sees Frank's body Laying on the floor. Carmine takes out his gun and shooves the policeman into the ground while Tony and the Rosato guards run after Carmine. The Rosatos escape the shootout and Carmine starts a war between himself and the Corleones. Dominic also escapes the shootout.
Carmine Rosato Falls: 1959
Later on in 1959, Dominic and his men and break into the Carmine Rosato Compound to end the war and to eliminate Carmine Rosato and his half of the family. As soon as all of the soldiers and guards are killed, Dominic gets in a fist fight with Carmine Rosato Underboss Norman Rossi. Dominic eventually executes Rossi with a pistol in the hallway leading to Carmine Rosato's Office on the second floor of his compound. Dominic finds a .44 Magnum in the hallway and enters the office and finds and taunts Carmine. Then Dominic and Carmine get into a bloody fist fight and Dominic shoots and kills Carmine Rosato in the head with a .44 Magnum. Then Dominic and his men blow up the Carmine Rosato Compound eliminatind the Carmine Rosato Family. When Tony Rosato hears about the loss of his brother, he plots his revenge on the Corleones and starts the Rosato War again.
