Carleen Maitland
Carleen Maitland, is now an Assistant Professor at the College of Information Sciences and Technology(IST), the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. She received her doctorate from Delft University of Technology in 2001 where her research focused on the role of institutions in creating the potential for electronic commerce in developing countries. Dr. Maitland's current research is GeneRally concerned with inter-organizational relations and market structures in the provision of advanced Internet services, both Fixed and Mobile.

Carleen Maitland received her doctorate from Delft University of Technology in 2001 where her research focused on the role of institutions in creating the potential for electronic commerce in developing countries. Her current research is generally concerned with inter-organizational relations and market structures in the provision of advanced Internet services, both fixed and mobile.
Research and Teaching
Carleen Maitland's research and teaching interests include institutional sources of trust for electronic commerce, issues related to the diffusion of electronic commerce in developing countries, regulation of the market for Internet services provision, and the cultural influences on Internet applications for developing countries.
