Carl J. Williams II

Carl J. Williams, II, (born March 3, 1986, in Valdosta, Georgia), is an American professional wrestler. He is better known as C.J. Williams or Carl Williams.

BWA

Carl Williams started wrestling in the now-defunct Backyard Wrestling Alliance in Georgia in 2001]]. He formed the "High Rollers" with Jack Modest and they quickly won the tag team titles. Williams also won the BWA Hardcore title, defeating Kevin Southerland. Two months later, he lost the Hardcore title to "The Maniac" Peter Klein.

Then, after a year, Williams first captured the BWA Heavyweight Championship in late 2002. As Heavyweight Champion, he was ordered to drop his half of the tag team titles. In a surprise move, he leveled one of his choices, face wrestler Johnny Dangerous, with the tag title belt and handed the belt to noted heel Thrash.

In this new heel turn turn, he became more arrogant, constantly cheating or allowing himself to be counted out on purpose simply to retain his title. His title reign lasted three months before he was defeated by James Patrick following a double belt shot. He was then taken out of storyline when Patrick shattered his left knee.

In late 2003, Williams returned to the ring in a face turn, similar to the character change of Taz in ECW, and proceeded to feud with Patrick, leading to a title match which saw Williams begin his second Heavyweight title run. He retained his title for the most part until the end of BWA, with The Only Exception seeing Williams lose his title to Greg Huffman only to use his rematch clause to win it back that same night.
